ABOUT THE FLINT ART FAIR

Ranked in the top 80 of art fairs nationally, according to Sunshine Artist Magazine, the Flint Art Fair has been a summer destination for over 20,000 art fair lovers throughout Michigan and Canada for the past 37 years.

Each year, the Flint Art Fair is presented by the Friends of Modern Art (FOMA), a fundraising auxiliary of the Flint Institute of Arts (FIA). The juried art fair hosts 160 of the most gifted contemporary artists and craftsmen spanning the United States, Canada, and some as far away as Bermuda. From sculpture, ceramics, and glass art, to painting, photography, textiles, fine jewelry, and wood creations, the Flint Art Fair showcases distinctive, hand-made treasures for collectors of all types.

Highlights for participating artists include the Saturday evening Awards Dinner (one complementary admission ticket is provided with the booth fee), two days of live music from “musical” artists, a connoisseur's concessions tent, and a professionally staffed Kiddie Kourt.” Hospitality is the number one priority of the Flint Art Fair. Volunteers work year-round to create a pleasant environment for participating artists, and the Hospitality Committee is dedicated to service, making the Flint Art Fair Experience an exceptional one!

Presented by the Friends of Modern Art (FOMA), a fundraising auxiliary of the Flint Institute of Arts. Proceeds from the art fair help FOMA sponsor events such as the annual FOMA Film Series, exhibitions, and assist with various contemporary art purchases for the Flint Institute of Arts.
